Recordings, transcripts and notes are stored in Australia. The transcription and the summarising also run here, on our own infrastructure, which means a meeting about your customers is not quietly making a round trip to another country and back.
A meeting belongs to the person whose calendar it came from. Nobody else sees it until they are given it, and there is no company wide feed of everybody's calls.
On Enterprise, colleagues who were in the same meeting can see it too, but the summary each of them gets is tailored to their own context, so two people in the same call read the notes that matter to them.
Recording laws differ across the Australian states, and the polite thing and the legal thing usually line up: tell people. Buddie sits in the participant list under its own name, so it is never a hidden microphone.
Buddie announces itself in the chat when it joins, and anyone in the meeting can ask for it to be turned off. Stop it mid meeting and the recording up to that point can be deleted on the spot.
Your meetings are not training data. Nothing of yours is given to train third-party models, not your recordings, transcripts or notes, and being on the free plan does not change that. Free is free because the stack is cheap to run, not because you are the product.
Nothing auto deletes on you, and nothing is held hostage either. Delete a meeting and the recording, transcript, summary and actions go with it. Delete your account and the lot goes, backups included, inside thirty days.
If IT and legal have to sign this off, Enterprise is the plan they are asking for. It adds the controls that make a note taker allowable in a regulated business rather than merely useful.
